Carrie graduated from Brock University with a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree (BKin,Hons) in 2011 and became a Registered Kinesiologist with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario in 2013. Upon moving to Vancouver in May 2026, She became a member of the BC Association of Kinesiologists. 

Carrie started her FST journey in 2016; joining the Canadian FST teaching team in 2024 and will be completing her level 3 certification training in September 2026.​

Carrie’s background in gymnastics coaching, physical conditioning and rehab combined with her Kinesiology knowledge, have assisted her to see opportunities for corrective treatments to enhance movement and performance. She enjoys creating plans that bring the whole person into account – mental, physical, emotional and social – knowing that all these aspects influence the person. Her positive outlook and attitude create an environment of success as she helps clients to progress and reach for their potential. She loves seeing and being told her clients’ wins; both big and tiny!

Carrie enjoys learning new skills and acquiring new knowledge; regularly taking courses and reading material that intrigues her. To keep herself moving, she enjoys slo-pitch, beach volleyball, hiking, yoga and pilates. You might also find her trying activities off the beaten path like; bubble soccer, archery tag, axe throwing, and the Plunger Plop.

Dasha is the clinical director and co-owner of Symmetrix Exercise & Rehab, bringing 11 years of extensive clinical, sport, and gym experience to her clients and team. Her expertise is wide-ranging, covering active rehabilitation, personal training, aquatic therapy, and ergonomics for workplaces. With her diverse background, she has worked with a variety of individuals, including athletes from lacrosse and hockey teams, chronic pain clients, and those in cardiac rehabilitation.Recognized for her outstanding work, Dasha has received numerous accolades, including Vancouver’s Top Kinesiology Studio for 2022-2025 and Kinesiologist of the Year for 2021 awarded by the Canadian Kinesiology Alliance. One key aspect of Dasha’s clinical approach is her emphasis on a mind-body connection in training and rehabilitation. She helps clients understand the significance of motivation, cultivating healthy habits, setting goals, and incorporating relaxation and restoration practices alongside their regular kinesiology sessions. Dasha’s passion lies in empowering individuals to improve their function, movement, and strength, and she genuinely cares about her clients’ success. Furthermore, she actively fosters community growth and development, always eager to expand her knowledge and take on new challenges.Outside of her professional pursuits, Dasha is an avid outdoor enthusiast. She frequently embarks on mountain trips, engaging in activities like backcountry skiing, multi-day hiking, and rock climbing. Demonstrating her commitment to adventure, she once undertook a two-day hike along the Howe Sound Crest Trail to attend her friends’ wedding in Porteau Cove. Additionally, she has cycled from Vancouver to Baja Sur, Mexico, showcasing her dedication to outdoor exploration. At home, Dasha’s creativity shines as she engages in fermenting, canning, and preserving food items such as tomatoes and miso. Born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Cassandra has been active throughout her life. She started exploring the BC mountains through Scouting as a youth, and later played field hockey with the Vancouver Hawks Women’s League throughout high school and university. Her interest in health and fitness led her to pursue a degree in Kinesiology.

Her credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University and a certificate in Active Health and Rehabilitation. With experience in both chronic and acute injury rehabilitation, Cassandra uses evidence-based exercise prescription to help individuals achieve their health and fitness goals. She is passionate about learning and teaching new ways to help others live their most active and functional lives. She believes in creating a fun, creative, and positive environment for exercise with the end goal of enhancing quality of life.

Cassandra has worked with all ages, from youth to seniors. Cassandra particularly enjoys working with youth-tapping on multiple years of experience as a Scout Leader and youth mentor to incorporate games and challenges into exercises sessions.

Cassandra’s favorite place to be active is outdoors. You can find her riding her bike throughout the city, in the mountains where she enjoys backpacking and climbing, and on the water racing sailing keelboats.
