I am a Kinesiology graduate from Trinity Western University. I have gained a great foundation in human biomechanics, functional movement assessment, and corrective exercise.

One of my drive in life is helping! I am passionate to walk alongside you, to build a personalized assessment and program that will cater for your lifestyle, goals to regain strength, improve movement quality, and regain confidence — whether recovering from injury, improving general fitness, or working toward healthy aging and fall prevention.

I’ve personally gone through several injuries, with the worst being high grade knee ligament tear, that sidelined me from activities of interest for several months. These experiences have shaped empathy, and an appreciation for recovery process with structured progression.

In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with my twin brother, close friends, playing pick-up basketball and strength training!

I certainly wasn’t a sporty jock growing up (can you say C- in Physical Education?), I did however, grow to appreciate activity in my later years, shaping my attitude towards exercise and also influencing my training style which incorporates principles from activities such as rock climbing, hiking, martial arts, pole dancing, yoga and pilates to help clients explore what’s possible, try something different and have a little more fun.

I attained my bachelor’s in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University many, many moons ago (okay fine, 2001) and have loved the industry of helping people more than I could have ever dreamt. Two of my favourite quotes have always been “People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care” and “If you’re not having fun, you’re doing it wrong.”

I honestly thought I’d be a research scientist living alone in the woods with a fox and a crow as my best friends (my background in biology at SFU attracted me to the topics of environmental conservation and animal welfare) or a paleontologists. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my therapist (nature) and you might be able to find me hiking with my family.

I’m excited to share my expertise in health and wellness to help you create the life of your dreams.
