Personal Training
Personal training will help you gain upper body strength, become stronger, improve cardio and get a better understanding of how to perform various technical movements – even if you’re starting from zero or working through a minor injury. Our kinesiologists help to build confidence by showing proper form and how to exercise and stretch the right way.
Symmetrix clients expect more than a generic big box experience. We provide a friendly private setting to help our clients work towards a healthier life. We have almost 30 years of experience in personal training in Vancouver.
Exercise Rehabilitation
If you’re dealing with a nagging injury or ongoing condition, our online or in-person exercise rehab services may be the perfect fit for you. Access a tailored, personalized and science-based approach to achieving specific results, like building strength, improving mobility and decreasing pain. With our online exercise rehab program our goal is to get your body moving with ease and minimize the challenges found in everyday activities. In-person sessions are also available at one of our private training studios.
At Symmetrix Exercise and Rehab we are a staff of trained and experienced kinesiologists who believe in a science-based approach to exercise rehabilitation. We work with you at home, independently or alongside your health team to help you overcome your injuries and stay healthier, longer. Especially during the COVID-19 global pandemic our clients love getting stronger, reducing pain and getting back to the activities they enjoy. And we love helping them get there.
ICBC Active Rehabilitation
Active rehab is an evidence-based medical technique designed to facilitate recovery of soft tissue, joints, muscle, and the nervous system after injuries like car accidents. Oversight by a kinesiologist is essential to make sure clients are not only challenged appropriately, but that each movement and exercise is done precisely and efficiently. The kinesiologist will help clients set a baseline for a range of motion, flexibility and strength and help them set goals along with a treatment plan in order to most efficiently achieve these goals.
Partner Training
Sessions for existing clients who want to train with a partner. Please note you'll need to do an initial assessment first.
Video Sessions
These video sessions can be held from the comfort of your own home, or your own gym. You will need either Skype, Zoom, or Facetime and a quiet place to set up your device in front of a mat.
Fill out the intake form to let up know what equipment you have to use and we will make a fun and challenging exercise session for you to keep moving.
Aquatic Therapy
Pool or aquatic therapy is an approach to active rehabilitation that takes place in the water under the supervision of a kinesiologist. Water opposes the force of gravity opening up the opportunity to reap the benefits of active rehab to those with difficulties exercising on land. The ability to swim is not required to participate in aquatic therapy. Exercises are performed in chest deep water while standing or in deep water with a floatation belt. At Symmetrix Exercise and Rehab we employ our background in kinesiology to apply a science-based approach to exercise rehab.
Ergonomics
Sitting at a desk for long hours can put immense strain on our bodies. Often, this physical strain can lead to neck, back and wrist pain which in turn can contribute greatly to workplace stress.
Symmetrix has a simple solution to this common workplace health problem and the pains it can cause: ergonomic assessments. Keep yourself and your office happy, healthy and productive with an ergonomics assessment and consultation by a professional kinesiologist.
